Happy Valentine’s Day!!!
Dropping this affirmation playlist that I used to play in the background while getting ready for the day. TBH, morning routines have become such a weird, yucky, compulsory part of hustle culture, and for a while, I felt like I had to meditate, listen to affirmations, etc., just to have the perfect day. But now, I trust myself more to be guided by what feels right in the moment.
No one knows you the way you doβyour quirks, the ebb and flow of your days, what you need to hear at 7:37 a.m. as you brace yourself for that conversation that has your stomach in knots. So yeah, this isnβt a directive; itβs just one of many resources out there. I ask you to trust yourself, to lean into what feels right for you even if it’s not what’s heralded as the standard or ‘impressive’ to others. This, too, is an act of self-care and self-love.
On this day, when we pause to reflect on love around us, letβs not forget to honor ourselves for committing to the triumphantly untidy act of being. For showing up, for striving, for setting our minds on something and then changing course when it no longer fits. For speaking even when our voices shake, for making rules and breaking them when they stop serving us.
If this day-to-day trying isnβt love, then IDK what is.
To the greatest love of all. π₯
